Muscle testing

What is muscle testing?

The science of muscle testing is based on your neurology.  The ‘motor command’ nerve transmits information to your muscle to perform in a certain way and the ‘sensory nerve’ transmits information to your brain about what it is sensing or experiencing.  This forms a bio-feedback loop and by muscle testing we can test the integrity of this loop.

Muscle testing is a non-invasive way of evaluating the body’s imbalances and assessing its needs.  The basic principle of muscle testing involves applying gentle pressure to a muscle which allows us to connect with your “whole body” to receive responses via your nervous system.  When pressure is applied to the indicator muscle it can respond by unlocking (the muscle weakens), or by locking (the muscle remains strong).  A Kinesiologist interprets this locking or unlocking as stress with the body.  Depending on your issue at the time and what we ask your body to communicate, we can effectively identify imbalances in organs, meridians, chakras, body structure and nutrition.  The practitioner can then identify solutions to clear the energetic blockages and imbalances or stress.

"Megan is the kind of practitioner that lifts you up into the most stellar version of yourself whilst inviting you to gently soften your hard edges and open to the sometimes messy, sometimes vulnerable parts of being human. She mixes her deep wisdom with warmth and authenticity whilst also happening to be a kick-ass kinesiology practitioner."
